Job summary

RIS Rx seeks a Cloud Platform Engineer to own AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, reliability, and security behind platforms that mitigate GTN revenue leakage for pharmaceutical manufacturers. You will blend platform engineering, reliability, and security while building self-service tooling for application teams.

You will design IAM, manage DNS, implement monitoring and DR, and enforce HIPAA-aligned controls while collaborating with engineers across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. AWS certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build base frameworks and cloud infrastructure for application teams with reusable CI/CD modules.
• Provision and operate AWS services (Lambda, SQS, S3, SES, Glue, PostgreSQL/RDS) and manage sandbox to production promotions.
• Design IAM with cross-account access, least-privilege, and permission boundaries.
• Own DNS and networking, standardize API URL and DNS structures, document migrations.
• Define monitoring, alerting, and backups across compute, queues, load balancers, and databases; strengthen DR.
• Harden the platform for regulated data with encryption, isolation, audit logging, and HIPAA-aligned controls.
• Partner with application teams on architecture and mentor engineers on cloud, reliability, and security practices.
