Job summary

First Orion is seeking a Platform / DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud platforms that empower product and engineering teams to deliver software safely.

The role combines software and systems engineering to automate infrastructure, improve delivery pipelines, and strengthen observability while reducing recurring operational work. You’ll collaborate across several teams to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering, DevOps or a closely related role.
• Hands-on experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting AWS-based environments, including multi-account or multi-tenant architectures.
• Experience defining infrastructure with Terraform or a comparable infrastructure-as-code tool; familiarity with YAML or Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines across development, test, and production environments.
• Provision and operate secure, high-performance, fault-tolerant environments for applications and services.
