Job summary

First Orion is seeking a Platform/DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure. You will automate pipelines, improve observability, and support production services across teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes IaC, container platforms, security, and incident response, with collaboration across engineering, QA, security, and product teams. Strong AWS and automation skills required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting AWS-based environments.
• Proficient with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, YAML) and automation tooling (Ansible, scripting).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, Bitbucket Pipelines or similar).
• Practical experience with containers, Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, and microservice architectures.
• Strong Linux systems administration, patching, backups, and security maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure with reusable IaC patterns.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines across dev, test, and prod environments.
• Provision and operate secure, high-performance environments for apps and services.
• Implement monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and telemetry for better visibility.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response; drive automation to reduce toil.
• Create and maintain runbooks, docs, and operational guides to standardize support.
