Ares Management is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our Cloud, DevOps, and Operations organization. Design, build, and automate modern cloud-based infrastructure and applications powering critical services.

The ideal candidate blends software engineering with cloud expertise, IaC, CI/CD, and platform operations to improve reliability, scalability, security, and automation. This role collaborates across teams and contributes to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting distributed applications.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps delivery.
• Full-stack development experience is a plus.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions, cloud infrastructure, and automation capabilities that support business and technology objectives.
• Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application delivery and improve deployment reliability.
• Support enterprise platforms and applications through advanced Level 3 production support and incident resolution.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure platform health and operational stability.
• Partner with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and platform resiliency initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to improve engineering capabilities.
