Job summary
Ares Management is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Cloud, DevOps, and Operations team in Los Angeles. The role focuses on designing, building, and automating modern cloud infrastructure and applications that power critical business services.
You will apply strong software engineering fundamentals to cloud-native platforms, IaC, CI/CD, and scalable operations, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve reliability, security, and efficiency in an enterprise
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 2+ years in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Experience designing, building, and supporting distributed applications and services.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
- SDLC experience from design to production support.
- Full-stack development experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions, cloud infrastructure, and automation capabilities that support business and technology objectives.
- Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
- Provide Level 3 production support and incident resolution.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for platform health.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
- Automate manual processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and platform resiliency initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to improve engineering capabilities.
