The Opportunity

In this pivotal contract role, you will lead the evolution of core enterprise applications, transitioning workload ecosystems from legacy on-premises data centers into a modern, resilient Azure Cloud framework. Operating remotely across the United States, you will collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to architect cloud-native environments, establish robust automation pipelines, and elevate modern engineering standards across the department.
What You'll Do
Architect the strategic transition of large-scale corporate applications from physical infrastructure to the Azure Cloud environment, while facilitating data center migration into colocation facilities.
Convert legacy OpenShift, .NET, C#, and Angular software systems into high-performing, cloud-native deployments.
Execute automated infrastructure deployment models by authoring scalable Infrastructure as Code templates with Terraform.
Build enterprise Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automated delivery pipelines using Terraform across broad engineering groups.
Manage Kubernetes cluster orchestration alongside Helm chart configurations to streamline containerized application management.
Synthesize multi-system dependencies, interface configurations, and software platform interactions in close partnership with cross-functional engineering teams.
Guide junior and mid-level technical staff by delivering clear architectural direction throughout complex cloud migration lifecycles.
Produce thorough architectural documentation, project roadmaps, and detailed system specifications for migration deliverables.
Oversee end-to-end systems analysis, quality design reviews, and rigorous validation testing from initial requirements gathering to final user acceptance.
What You Bring
5 Years of direct experience spanning Application Development and Cloud Platform Engineering.
Expert-Level Mastery of Azure Cloud Services , backed by an extensive understanding of Cloud-Native Architecture and modern deployment frameworks.
Demonstrated Expertise utilizing Terraform for Infrastructure As Code , alongside proven execution in constructing CI/CD Pipelines for automated releases.
Full-Stack Software Engineering capability in .NET , C# , and Angular, with demonstrated success refactoring applications for modern cloud environments.
Hands-On Experience configuring Helm Charts , managing Kubernetes Orchestration , and maintaining Container Platform Infrastructure.
Working Familiarity with Java and React technologies to align with future stack evolution.
Compensation & Total Rewards
Baseline compensation rate of $70.00 to $75.00 per hour W2
