Job summary

Booz Allen is seeking a Platform Architect and Engineering Lead in McLean, VA to design and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions that advance Public Health data modernization initiatives.

You will lead a 20+ person engineering team, collaborate with product stakeholders, set technical direction, ensure governance and security standards, and drive DevOps and automation across AWS and hybrid cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with software implementation, design, solution, application, or technical architecture.
• 7+ years of experience with software development using Python, .NET, or Java.
• Experience leading technical teams of 20+ engineers and being client-facing.
• Experience architecting and deploying solutions in AWS and hybrid cloud environments with secure, governance-compliant architectures.
• Experience deploying IaaS environments and Linux/Unix systems, including shell scripting.
• Experience with Gen-AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Claude.
• Ability to be hands-on and drive projects forward while keeping releases on track.
• Ability to navigate competing priorities, discern technical solutions, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
• Bachelor's degree.
