Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Platform Architect and Engineering Lead to design and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions for Public Health data modernization. You will guide a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, shaping cloud strategy and governance to meet client needs.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong experience with AWS and hybrid clouds, and a focus on secure architectures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with software implementation, design, solution, application, or technical architecture
• 7+ years of experience with software development using languages such as Python, Dotnet, or Java
• Experience with leading technical teams of 20+ engineers and being client-facing
• Experience architecting and deploying solutions in AWS and hybrid cloud environments, developing secure, cloud-based architectures, and adhering to engineering and cloud governance standards
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting IaaS environments and Linux or Unix-based systems, including shell scripting
• Experience with Gen-AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Claude Code
• Ability to be hands‑on and drive projects forward while keeping releases on track
• Ability to navigate competing priorities, discern technical solutions, and communicate with stakeholders
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelor's degree
