Job summary

Strategic Communications is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to own end-to-end operational execution for cloud reseller and managed customers, with emphasis on AWS public sector engagements. You will lead onboarding, payer transfers, provisioning, billing transitions, and renewals, coordinating across Sales, Customer Success, PM, Engineering, Accounting, and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in cloud operations, FinOps, or partner operations.
• Direct experience with AWS partner, reseller, distributor, or MSP.
• Experience leading onboarding, transfers, provisioning, and billing escalations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle for cloud reseller and managed customers from onboarding to offboarding.
• Lead kickoff and transition meetings with business and technical terms.
• Coordinate payer transfers, linked accounts, and account ownership changes.
• Translate requirements into actionable transition plans with Engineering and Security.
• Serve as escalation point for cloud operations issues.
• Maintain SOPs, checklists, and control points for cloud operations.
• Provide status reporting on decisions, impact, and next actions.
