Job summary

The University of New Hampshire in Durham is seeking a Cloud Operations Technical Lead to guide the Automation and Platform Services team. You will lead initiatives to build and support the enterprise IT automation toolkit, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC managed environments.

You will oversee recruitment, staff development, performance reviews, and ensure adherence to policies while driving continuous improvement in cloud hosting, virtualization, and monitoring across Windows/Linux stacks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field and 2 years of IT experience, or equivalent mix.
• Experience with LAMP administration and modern devops tooling.
• CI/CD, DevOps, configuration management, and cloud platforms.
• Scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell and API familiarity.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Automation and Platform Services teams.
• Oversee delivery quality and timeliness; plan resources and onboarding.
• Conduct performance reviews and support staff development.
• Develop automation for management, deployment, and monitoring tasks.
• Collaborate with developers and admins for CI/CD and IaC initiatives.
• Document processes and ensure policy adherence.
