Job summary

The Telecommunications/Network Technologist Supervisor at DHSS Infrastructure Engineering oversees Azure/Cloud services, project management, engineering, developing, and implementing next-gen technologies while leading DHSS best practices.

The role also manages SDLC processes from conception to production, maintenance activities, and system upgrades for the DHSS Information Resource Management unit, requiring strong data-network and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in planning, designing and installing data networks for telecommunications needs such as bandwidth, multiple protocols, transmission lines, interface and multiplexing equipment, port connections, control packets and other equipment.
• Six months experience in developing strategic business plans for expansion and installation of data network and telecommunications infrastructure including an evaluation of feasibility, compatibility and cost effectiveness.
• Knowledge of information technology project management including planning, scheduling, staffing, coordinating, controlling, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on status of IT projects.
• Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through coursework, training or lead work supervising others.
