Availity, a leading healthcare technology company, seeks a Cloud Network Engineer III for remote work in the US. You will implement and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure, work with cloud architects, and support the Availity cloud operations team.

Strong AWS experience and IaC skills are essential. You will collaborate across product and business teams in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, ensuring robust network security and reliable delivery of healthcare solutions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive cloud implementations and infrastructure as code.
• 4+ years hands-on AWS experience.
• 3+ years’ experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with F5 LTM and IPSec VPN.
• Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible for IaC.
• Scripting in Bash and Python; Git proficiency.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and CICD tooling.

Position

As an Availity Cloud Network Engineer III, you are responsible for the documentation, development, and maintenance of cloud implementations, with a focus on the network infrastructure. This individual is responsible for the hands-on coding and implementation of the designs provided by Cloud Architects and Security Teams. This individual will aid the Cloud Operations team in supporting Availity in AWS and is responsible for the development and operational work to support a multi-cloud environment.

Role qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in relevant work experience
• 5 - 7 years of progressive work experience with cloud implementations and infrastructure as code
• 4+ years hands on AWS experience is a must
• 3+ years’ experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• Experience with F5 LTM
• CCSP, AWS Cloud, F5, Palo Alto certifications a plus
• Experience with IPSec VPN
• Dynamic Routing, Load Balancing, Network Access Control, Wireless, Zone Based Firewall
• Experience working with Product and Business Management teams a plus
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial company a plus
• Knowledge, skills, and experience to write detailed technical documentation
• Skilled in IAC, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible
• Experience with CICD tooling such as Gitlab, Jenkins, etc.
• Scripting such as BASH and Python
• Knowledge of development methodologies (primarily Agile/Scrum)
• Experience with AWS and common AWS services
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions
• Must be comfortable with Git.
• Excellent communication is essential to perform at maximum efficiency within the team.
• Collaborative attitude. This role is part of a larger and dynamic team that nurtures collaboration.
• Strong technical, process, and problem-solving proficiency.

What you will be doing

• Engineering and support of multi-cloud and on-premises infrastructure
• Observability and reporting of network related infrastructure
• Working in AWS CLI and GitLab to orchestrate builds
• Monitoring JIRA throughout the sprint cycle
• Participate in daily stand ups and status check in meetings
• Builds and maintain infrastructure as code.
• Read and understand system and functional requirements
• Writes technical specifications and thorough documentation of work
• Reports on gaps in requirements for Technical Leads and Cloud Architects
• Accurately scopes project time and resources required to complete projects
• Reviews project scope and timeline estimates with senior staff
• Collaboration with Cloud Architects and business partners to confirm time and resource estimates
• Consults with Cloud Architects on testing plans and resolving/debugging errors
• Support escalation incidents and support on-call duty requirements
• Working and collaborating in a predominantly remote workplace
