Job summary

Commvault seeks a content engineer to own and craft executable documentation for cloud data protection. You will publish getting-started paths, service guides, API references, and runbooks, ensuring they run in real AWS environments with tested permissions and failure modes.

You will build hands-on labs and example repositories (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and ship demos for AWS events while collaborating with product, engineering, and growth teams to optimize trial activation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a developer-facing technical role—technical writing, developer relations, solutions engineering, support engineering, or software engineering with a strong writing track record.
• Hands-on with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK) and APIs/SDKs.
• Docs-as-code fluency: Git, Markdown/MDX, PR-based review, with content that lives next to the product.

Responsibilities

• Own the Content That Sells the Product. Write and maintain the Clumio docs, including getting-started paths, service-by-service guides, API/SDK references, and runbooks.
• Build executable labs and examples (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) that builders can fork and run in real AWS environments.
• Test workflows documented in real AWS environments to validate code, permissions, and failure modes.
