Job summary

Transamerica Corporation is seeking a Specialist Software Engineer to design and build cloud-native web solutions in an agile environment. You will lead architecture discussions, implement AWS-based patterns, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technology.

This hybrid role requires 3 days in the Philadelphia, Cedar Rapids, or Denver hub locations, with 6+ years of experience and strong IaC, security, and observability skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6 years of software development with 5+ years on AWS-focused work.
• Strong understanding of IaC, security, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-native architectures on AWS following Well-Architected Framework.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and infra provisioning.
• Develop serverless and containerized apps using Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
