Job summary

Uni Systems is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture of large-scale, cloud-native systems. You will produce architecture deliverables, guide design decisions, and mentor engineers to ensure secure, scalable solutions.

You will work with stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into actionable guidance and define SDLC standards with the DevOps team. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in IT with proven track record as a Solution Architect on large-scale programmes.
• Experience designing production systems using Java/JEE and/or .NET/C#, with microservices, REST, and containers.
• Experience in cloud-native and microservice architectures.
• UML/Archimate skills using Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar tool.
• Knowledge of REST, gRPC, SOAP, and web services; messaging middleware and distributed event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS).
• Hands-on with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Expertise in Spring/Quarkus/Java EE and Hibernate/JPA, or .NET; exposure to Angular or React.
• Relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL DBs; search/index (Elasticsearch).
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills for architectural alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape end-to-end solution and application architecture for large-scale, cloud-native systems.
• Produce and maintain architecture deliverables: Overviews, designs, integration specs, and ADRs.
• Provide technical leadership to architecture and development streams; mentor engineers.
• Communicate architecture vision and trade-offs to stakeholders and architecture boards.
• Engineer non-functional requirements with measurable acceptance criteria.
• Design integration/interoperability using API-first/contract-first and event-driven patterns.
• Design secure-by-design solutions following OWASP ASVS and ISO/IEC 27001 guidance.
• Define SDLC standards and quality gates in collaboration with DevOps.
