Job summary

System One is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to design and guide cloud-native, enterprise-scale solutions for major clients. You will collaborate across engineering teams and executives to set roadmaps and govern architecture across the SDLC.

The role emphasizes hands-on in Java, Python, and multiple cloud platforms, plus microservices, event-driven design, and AI-enabled modernization. You will mentor teams and help drive cloud migration initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise app development.
• Proven success leading architecture decisions across multiple projects in complex environments.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale, cloud-native apps using Java, Python and AWS/Azure/GCP (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first design, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
• Knowledge of SQL/databases, data modeling, and AI-related technologies.
• Understanding of TOGAF or similar enterprise frameworks; cloud migration/ modernization is highly desirable.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to lead distributed technical teams.

• Create secure, resilient enterprise applications using microservices and event-driven patterns.
• Lead modernization, cloud migration, and legacy transformation initiatives.
• Develop architecture blueprints, reference models, and integration approaches.
• Participate in architecture review boards and governance across SDLC.
• Promote innovation using AI, automation and emerging cloud technologies.
• Mentor architects and development teams on best practices and standards.
