Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to support a highly technical program in partnership with the DTRA and DIA. You will build and optimize software solutions that drive physics-based models and simulations, enabling scientific assessments and increasing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include building backend services and data pipelines, ETL workflow automation, and secure cross-domain data transfers, while collaborating with scientists and defense analysts to translate

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field with 6–12 years of relevant experience or MS with 6–10 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, C2S, SC2S).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and modernize software algorithms for physics-based models.
• Build backend services and cloud-native data pipelines for large-scale simulations.
• Architect and maintain ETL data flows ingesting massive scientific datasets.
• Implement secure cross-domain data transfer between unclassified and classified networks.
• Collaborate with scientists, physicists, hardware engineers, and defense analysts to translate complex requirements into software prototypes.
