Job summary

Leidos’ Defense Systems, Threat Modeling and Simulation Portfolio is seeking a talented lead software developer to work on multiple projects, primarily modeling and simulation efforts, focusing on EO/IR sensor systems.

You will join a diverse team of engineers and scientists, write software in C++ and C#, collaborate across Windows and Linux, and help solve complex problems while maintaining the highest standards of trust and responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent with relevant software development experience.
• Strong experience in object-oriented programming and proficiency in C++.
• Demonstrated experience in software design principles and version control (Git).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 4-8 years of experience in a related field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)
• Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL, area.

Responsibilities

• Write software (using primarily C++ and C#) to solve problems in EO/IR sensor systems.
• Work and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and across Windows and Linux OS.
