Job summary

Cisco is seeking software engineers for its Security Policy and Access team to design, build, and operate cloud-native SaaS services. You will work on scalable microservices, REST APIs, and backend systems deployed in public clouds, with emphasis on reliability, observability, and security across global deployments.

The role offers collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and exposure to AI-assisted development workflows that enhance secure identity management platforms.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or bachelor’s with 2 years) in CS, software engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of software engineering in a SaaS product company in a public cloud.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go and REST API/backend design.
• 2+ years deploying and operating microservices on Kubernetes/AWS EKS in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support cloud-native SaaS applications and services.
• Build scalable, resilient distributed systems using microservices architecture.
• Develop and operate services in public cloud environments such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Participate in design and implementation of service automation, monitoring, observability pipelines.
• Analyze service health, performance metrics, logs, traces, and alerts to improve reliability.
