Job summary

Veeam is seeking an R&D Developer to own design, build, and test features for the K10 product, focusing on backup and recovery of Kubernetes apps, databases, and storage systems.

You will advance cloud-native development, write and upgrade data formats for movement and storage, and build tests and benchmarks to ensure robustness, scalability, and high code coverage across components.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Designing and testing distributed systems with at least two of the following: Golang, Rust, and/or C++.
• Debugging in-development and production applications using debugging software: GDB.
• Designing and testing secure networked systems using at least two of: TCP, HTTP, RPC.
• Automating development tasks by scripting with Bash and Python.
• Developing software using operating systems: Linux, MacOS or Windows.
• Developing secure software, identifying, fixing, and preventing vulnerabilities including injection, encryption issues, and access control.

Responsibilities

• Own design, build, and test features in the K10 product related to backup and recovery of Kubernetes applications, databases, and storage systems.
• Build deep expertise in cloud-native development and enterprise cloud-native transformation.
• Write, maintain and upgrade data formats for the data movement and storage engine.
• Build new tests and analyze reports from benchmarks, robustness, scalability and performance regression suites.
• Own software components with very high code-coverage and contribute to the open-source community.
