Job summary

Orange County's Federal Credit Union is seeking an Enterprise Architect in a hybrid role based in California. You will design cloud-native, secure architectures across core banking, digital channels, and data platforms while modernizing legacy systems and ensuring operability for handoffs to Operations.

You will partner with InfoSec, Risk, Compliance, and business teams to implement scalable, observable solutions, leveraging AI/LLM capabilities where appropriate.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering and architecture roles.
• Cloud-native solutions on Azure and/or AWS.
• Decompose legacy environments and modernize in production.
• Experience with AI/LLM-enabled solutions.
• Operational documentation for handoffs to Operations.
• Financial services familiarity with NCUA/FFIEC/GLBA.
• CI/CD, IaC, automated testing and deployment pipelines.
• Enterprise architecture practices experience.

Responsibilities

• Design target-state architectures for core banking and digital channels.
• Create end-to-end designs: APIs, data models, security patterns.
• Prototype reference implementations and guide teams.
• Ensure handoff to Operations with runbooks and SLOs/SLAs.
• Collaborate with InfoSec, Risk, Compliance and business partners.
