Job summary

Orange County's Federal Credit Union in Santa Ana, CA seeks aSenior Automation Developer to design and build modern automations across platforms, connecting on‑prem systems with cloud services and embedding AI capabilities. The role combines hands‑on development with stakeholder collaboration to prioritize opportunities and establish automation standards.

The candidate will deploy cloud-based automations, create integrations via REST/JSON APIs, and implement robust monitoring.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in automation/integration development.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with two or more tool categories listed (RPA, low-code/workflow automation, iPaaS).

Responsibilities

Identify and prioritize automation opportunities with business stakeholders.
Design end-to-end workflows across multiple platforms (Power Automate, UiPath, etc.).
Build and deploy cloud-based automations (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP).
Develop REST/JSON API integrations, webhooks, and queue-based connections.
Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring.
Experiment with AI-powered automations and AI/LLM integration.
Define guardrails for safe AI use and compliance.
Own automation lifecycle from discovery to support.
Mentor junior developers and promote automation literacy.
