Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Manager of Infrastructure Cloud Services to lead a team responsible for cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The role ensures reliable, secure, and scalable IT services across NM operations, guiding architecture, budgeting, and vendor management.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IT management experience in cloud/virtualized environments, strong collaboration skills, and proven ability to deliver IT commitments on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of information services management of Cloud/On Prem/Virtualized Services.
• Management experience with complex, cross-organizational systems.
• Demonstrated project and process management skills.
• Demonstrated budget management skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience negotiating with external vendors and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to build and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure services.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and related software issues; perform root-cause analysis.
• Provide guidance on design concepts, costs, and architecture.
• Ensure stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of systems.
• Plan and coordinate work of systems staff; develop annual systems plans.
• Support Agile, Scrum, and Kanban delivery methodologies.
• Monitor and report on customer service levels against performance standards.
• Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and major upgrades.
• Lead organizational change and manage budgets (operating and capital).
• Present to NM operational leadership and industry groups.
