Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, configure, integrate and deliver our cloud solution. You will automate deployments, monitor capacity and ensure availability within NMHC’s IT environment.

You will use Terraform, Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating across teams. Strong scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash and vendor coordination are essential here.

Qualifications

• 3+ years technical experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Public Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• 2+ years deploying automation/configuration management systems (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• 1+ years scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• 1+ years deploying core foundation infrastructure (Networking, Virtual Machines).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains solid technical competence for assigned services and systems.
• Demonstrates expertise in cloud computing environments, with focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Demonstrates expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, with Terraform.
• Proficient in Git version control, workflows, and collaboration in GitHub/Azure DevOps.
• Excels in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Kubernetes infrastructure and containerized workloads.
• Provides technical leadership and support for computing systems and integration.
• Codes using Python, PowerShell, Bash.
