Job summary

Rampant Technologies is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud and on‑prem infrastructure supporting mission critical services. You will administer Linux, architect networking, storage, compute, and implement infrastructure as code.

The role emphasizes Kubernetes clusters, CNCF tooling, CI/CD, security hardening, and on‑call reliability. Onsite roles across CO/VA locations are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux in production environments.
• Experience installing and operating Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Hands-on with CNCF tools (Prometheus, Helm, containerd).
• Proficient with Terraform or similar IaC tooling.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider.
• Solid networking knowledge and DNS/load balancing basics.
• Containerization experience with Docker/containerd and image management.
• Version control with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Security best practices including secrets management and hardening.
• Strong troubleshooting under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
• Administer Linux systems and harden security posture.
• Architect networking, storage, and compute resources; implement IaC.
• Operate and maintain Kubernetes clusters and CNCF tooling.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; participate in on-call rotations.
