Job summary

Base One Technologies in Ashburn, VA, is seeking a Cloud Administrator to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role emphasizes performance, security, cost-efficiency, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with DevOps and security teams to implement IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security best practices, while provisioning resources, monitoring health, and troubleshooting issues to keep services available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, IT, Cyber Security or related field with 6 years of related experience.
• Deep working knowledge of public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services (compute, networking, storage, databases).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and container orchestration within a cloud environment.
• Proficient with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and cloud automation tools to streamline provisioning and maintenance.
• Knowledge of cloud security practices, IAM, encryption, VPNs, firewalls, and security tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, optimize and deploy cloud infrastructure across platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Provision, monitor, troubleshoot and scale cloud resources; ensure availability and reliability.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM; develop automation scripts.
• Apply cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, firewall rules, and network controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and operate secure, cost-efficient cloud services.
