Cloud Engineering Manager (Remote)

We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Engineering Manager to join a leading energy company. The manager will be a hands-on leader who thrives in complex environments, is passionate about infrastructure modernization, and excels in leading cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.

Location: Remote

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year plus benefits

What You Will Do:

• Manage and lead a team of multi-cloud professionals.
• Design, implement, and optimize hybrid and multi-cloud architectures across Azure and OCI.
• Drive interoperability strategies between public cloud environments.
• Lead initiatives in infrastructure modernization using cloud services (AKS, Azure AD, Exadata, etc.)
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices across both Azure and OCI.
• Manage IAM policies, network segmentation, and compliance-related controls.
• Set up and manage observability tools (Azure Monitor, OCI Monitoring, Prometheus, etc.) to ensure performance and uptime.
• Implement proactive alerting and incident response procedures.
• Lead major incident response efforts, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
• Collaborate with engineering managers to align team resources with business priorities.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating issues into clear, actionable insights.
• Drive clarity in ambiguous situations, ensuring progress and alignment across teams.

What Gets You The Job:

• 6-10+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud, including 6+ years of leadership experience.
• Proven ability in incident management, resource planning, and stakeholder communication.
• Expertise working in multi-cloud environments, including hybrid cloud architectures and cloud interoperability.
• Deep understanding of Azure core services (VMs, networking, Azure AD, AKS, etc.)
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including OCI compute, storage, IAM, and database services (especially Exadata).
• Strong knowledge of security tools and best practices in both Azure and OCI.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM, OCI Resource Manager).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, OCI Monitoring, Prometheus, etc.).
• Access management across clouds.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
