Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support a defense client remotely. The role requires travel to Washington DC, Northern VA, Boston, MA and San Antonio, TX, and an active TS/SCI with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities include designing, testing, and integrating cloud solutions, maintaining internal cloud infrastructure, and developing roadmaps to drive business objectives. Strong security practices, IaC familiarity, and collaboration with distributed teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI or Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; 10 years may substitute.
• 8 years of work-related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, run tests, and evaluate cloud systems and integrations with cloud providers.
• Plan and conduct tasks for internal cloud infrastructure
• Develop and execute cloud solution roadmaps aligning with business strategy
• Design systems using analytical and mathematical modeling
• Analyze cloud requirements for feasibility within time and cost constraints
• Consult with engineering to support hardware, software, operations, and performance needs
