Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support a defense client remotely. Travel to Washington DC, Northern VA, Boston, MA and San Antonio, Texas will be required. Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required.

The role involves researching, designing, developing, and testing cloud systems, planning cloud infrastructure tasks, and creating roadmaps to drive business objectives. Candidates must have 8+ years of experience, a relevant degree or substituted experience, and security

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI or Top Secret with SCI eligibility required.
• BS in Computer Science, information Technology, or related field. 10 Years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• 8 Years of work-related experience is required.
• Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT-II certification required.
• Ability to travel 10% - 20%.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, run tests, and evaluate systems supporting cloud implementation and integration with cloud service providers.
• Plan and conduct technical tasks for internal cloud enterprise shared virtualization infrastructure.
• Develop and execute cloud solution roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
• Formulate and design systems using analysis and models to predict outcomes.
• Analyze cloud requirements to assess feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Consult with engineering staff to support hardware, software, and performance requirements.
