Amentum is seeking an experienced SWE to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure in a fast‑paced environment. You will build reusable IaC modules, enforce standards, and monitor health and performance across cloud services.

The role requires 20+ years of SWE experience, expertise in secure cloud architectures, and TS/SCI w/FSP clearance. Expect collaboration on runbooks and operational procedures, with a strong focus on optimization and reliability.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of SWE experience on programs with similar scope.
• Experience designing secure, scalable cloud architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in cloud environments.
• Experience with Linux OS.
• TS/SCI w/FSP clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure following best practices.
• Build reusable IaC modules and enforce development standards.
• Monitor health and performance; implement incident response.
• Provide strategies for backup, high availability, and cost optimization.
• Contribute to runbooks, architectures, and operational procedures.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend enhancements.
