Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Cloud Engineer I to join our IT team in Las Vegas. This role is responsible for supporting cloud applications and services, identifying issues, and ensuring timely resolution.

You will monitor performance, manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda), perform IAM and key rotation, patch containers, and collaborate with security teams to maintain uptime and compliance. A bachelor’s degree and AWS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 4-5 years of cloud engineering experience with one or more AWS certifications.
  • 5+ years’ experience with infrastructure and networking.
  • 1-3 years’ experience administering AWS/Azure solutions.
  • Strong OS knowledge: Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with monitoring and incident response tools (CloudWatch, DevOps Guru).
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Support cloud applications and services to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor performance and alerts for cloud systems.
  • Maintain cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda).
  • Manage IAM and key rotation in AWS.
  • Patch EC2 and containers regularly.
  • Collaborate with Information Security teams.
  • Provide off-hours support as needed.
  • Follow SLA and escalate issues as required.
