Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Cloud Engineer I to join its IT team in Las Vegas. The role focuses on providing technical support for cloud applications and services, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining AWS-based infrastructure across EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, and more.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years in cloud engineering with AWS certifications, strong networking skills, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes and serverless workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is preferred.
• 4-5 years of cloud engineering experience with one or more AWS certifications.
• 5+ years’ experience with infrastructure and networking.
• 1-3 years’ experience administering solutions on AWS/Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with AWS Cognito, DevOps Agent monitoring, and Systems Manager patching.
• Experience with serverless workloads and AWS Fargate.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash/PowerShell/Ansible.
• Experience deploying Docker and Kubernetes containers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to the Cloud Engineering Team.
• Collaborate with IT teams on data integration and cloud services.
• Monitor performance and set alerts for cloud applications and systems.
• Maintain cloud infrastructure (EC2, SQS, S3, VPC, Lambda).
• Perform routine IAM and key rotations in AWS.
• Patch EC2 and container environments regularly.
• Support uptime and meet SLAs; escalate as needed.
• Partner with Information Security teams as appropriate.
• Provide after-hours and weekend support when required.
• Handle additional responsibilities as defined by management.
