Job summary

Boyd Gaming in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a senior software developer to contribute to core systems, designing and implementing .NET-based solutions for high-transaction environments. This onsite role requires 7+ years in software development, API design, SQL Server experience, Windows internals, and CI/CD expertise.

You will lead 1–2 junior engineers and help shape architecture. Bachelor’s degree is required; AWS/Azure experience is a plus and certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• 4+ years of .NET experience in a complex systems environment (including .NET, WCF, SharePoint, SSRS)
• 5+ years in API design, documentation, maintenance and support
• Knowledge of Windows internals, Windows API and multithreading
• Experience with object-oriented design, OOAD, design patterns, networking protocols
• Experience with SQL Server databases/TSQL and SQL Server internals
• CI/CD and deployment pipelines/processes; AWS/Azure knowledge preferred
• Experience using AI to assist development/diagnostics is a plus
• Certifications/licenses as required

Responsibilities

• Contribute development efforts to core systems and network/server software
• Lead and mentor 1–2 junior engineers in design, development and deployment
• Design, develop and test .NET-based software, APIs and integrations
• Create and maintain technical documentation and architecture artifacts
• Participate in deployments, rollouts and coordination with user departments
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing
