Job summary
OpenTalent seeks a Cloud Engineer to join a Prime Contract supporting the Government's Corporate Management Services (CMS) organization in Maryland. You will design, modernize, secure, and sustain enterprise applications and platforms that underpin government operations, collaborating with software, DevSecOps, and systems engineering experts.
Work includes migrating capabilities to cloud environments, ensuring security and compliance, deploying changes, and optimizing performance and cost.
Responsibilities
- Assess existing capabilities and expand DevOps adoption in cloud environments.
- Identify data migration, security, and compliance requirements for cloud transformations.
- Collaborate with System Administrators to plan and coordinate cloud conversion activities.
- Leverage Ansible and automation/configuration management tools to streamline operations.
- Plan and deploy security patches, kernel updates, and software upgrades.
