Job summary

Freedom is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our CMS team to design, modernize, secure, and sustain the enterprise applications and platforms that keep government operations running worldwide.

You will work with experts in software engineering, cloud computing, DevSecOps, systems engineering, and enterprise platforms to transform legacy systems, automate business processes, and deliver innovative solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with 3 years software development/engineering experience (or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree).
• Two years of experience with cloud technologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience with CI/CD, Agile methods, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing capabilities and identify opportunities to expand DevOps adoption for cloud transformations.
• Plan, test, and deploy cloud migration and system operations improvements.
• Collaborate with System Administrators to coordinate day-to-day cloud activities.
• Utilize Ansible and other automation tools to streamline deployment and operations.
• Develop deployment plans and coordinate changes across cloud environments.
