A leading company in IT services is seeking a Cloud Engineer for a 6-month contract position in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, Security+ Certification, and a solid background in system and security administration with Azure experience. Base pay range

$115,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr

Location: Washington, DC (onsite 5x/week)

Duration: 6-month contract to hire (This is a 5 year program)

Salary Range: $115-145k depending on level of experience

Must Haves:

Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of related experience
Active Security+ Certification
Strong foundation in system and security administration, including experience with both Linux and Windows environments
Demonstrable experience in scripting and automation with languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Knowledge of cloud services, architecture, and hands-on experience with Azure.

Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, operate, and maintain resilient secure Azure Cloud environments to enable development teams to deliver features in the most efficient way possible.
Operate and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Iac) and SRE principles.
Provision and manage Azure virtual servers, ensuring they meet the required specifications for various user groups and applications.
Schedule and deploy updates to virtual desktops, applications, and infrastructure components while minimizing downtime and disruption to users.
Respond to and resolve user tickets in a timely manner, providing technical support for the VDI environment, including connectivity, performance, and usability issues.
Deliver excellent customer service by communicating effectively with end-users, understanding their needs, and ensuring a positive user experience.
