Details:

The Cloud Engineer responsibilities include administration of servers, storage, networking.

Must haves:

• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure) architecting, administration, creating new environments.
• Exposure to Dell server hardware, ESXi Virtual Environments, VM management, SSL certificates required.
• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and fine tune enterprise networking equipment including clients and servers including patch management.
• Maintain web servers and operations including daily back up.
• Systems back-up management, manage user accounts and permissions, manage anti-virus & system monitoring application.
• Ensure file storage and reliability of servers, general administration of the network, and assist with software upgrades and OS migration as necessary. The incumbent will administer the IBM JAVA Web servers and all associated operations.
• Perform daily support and system administration functions with problem resolution and problem management for Applications & servers.
• Develops performance standards for network components and evaluates adherence to them.
• Evaluates hardware configuration changes and makes recommendations to have smaller on-prem footprint,
• Monitor traffic flow and recommend network design improvements.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.

Requirements:

Batchlor’s degree and at least five years of experience in administering Microsoft Windows server and client/server systems. A combination of experience and/or education can be considered in lieu of education requirement. Performs with significant autonomy, the development, analysis, planning, scheduling and directing of large complex processes. Independently establishes goals and objectives for higher-level review. Must have the ability to plan, organize and manage network projects in a timely and reliable manner; coordinate off-hour maintenance and upgrade activities to encompass entire enterprise server system. Incumbent must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a team environment.

Job Summary:

The Systems Cloud Engineer position focuses on Cloud, server, storage, and network administration. The role includes support for Windows servers, migrations to virtual and cloud environments, and experience with Dell hardware and ESXi. Required skills include DNS, VPN, firewall, web servers (IIS, Apache, JAVA), and network equipment, along with backup, user account, and security management. Preferred skills include Linux and database support (Oracle, SQL). A bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in Microsoft Windows server environments are required, emphasizing autonomy, project management, and strong communication skills.

The position, reporting to the Network Manager, will be responsible for setting the technical direction of the Systems Support Team in collaboration with team, and management. This includes recommending and maintaining department wide security, architecture, hardware and software standards and assisting in establishing and implementing processes and procedures for data center operation.

Pay Rate: $40-$45 (flexible based on fit and experience)
