Qualifications

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, VA. This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and managing secure multi-cloud infrastructures across various platforms including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure compliance with security standards. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience with over four years of IT experience. A strong background in cloud computing, with at least five years of hands‑on experience in designing or managing solutions across one or more major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI, is essential. Proficiency in DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Git, along with expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or Bicep, is required. Familiarity with cloud template technologies including Azure Resource Manager, GitHub Enterprise, and architecture frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman is highly desirable. The candidate must also have experience automating workflows using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, or JSON. Additionally, a DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+, GSEC, GICSP) or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage multi‑cloud services and infrastructure across enterprise cloud platforms, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation to automate deployments and configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within multi‑cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance.
• Leverage multi‑cloud data and security services to establish a robust security posture, including logging, monitoring, and threat detection across platforms.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, CLI, or other scripting languages, utilizing serverless and cloud automation services to streamline operations.
• Configure network security groups, application gateways, and other network controls to safeguard cloud resources across diverse environments.
• Manage compute, storage, networking, and database services across multiple cloud platforms, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.
• Apply security best practices and compliance standards, working collaboratively with various teams to address complex technical challenges and implement solutions that meet regulatory requirements.
