Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and test scalable cloud infrastructure based on Red Hat technologies. The role focuses on migrating on-premises systems to the cloud across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred) and 6+ years in cloud or Linux engineering, with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP and IaC tools such as Ansible and

Qualifications

Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. Nightwing is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience to join our O&M team. This role will be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of cloud-based infrastructure and services, migrating existing infrastructure from on-prem to the cloud, with a focus on Red Hat-based systems across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and test scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using Red Hat technologiesImplement and test IaaS/PaaS solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Automate provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Red Hat SatelliteCollaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and policiesApplying advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implementing infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements.Automate infrastructure tasks using Ansible, Terraform, or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.Stay up-to-date with OpenShift and Kubernetes advancements, providing recommendations for improvementsExamine and identify efficiencies that can be made to existing procedures, with approval from the customer.Required Skills:U.S. CitizenshipMust have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred.Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.6+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Linux Systems Engineer, or similar role.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)Desired Skills:Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCDStrong knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) administrationUnderstanding of networking and security best practices in cloud environmentsKnowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)Required Education:BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree or HS Diploma and 7+ years lab management or systems administration experience.Desired Certifications:DoD 8140.01 IAT Level IISalary & BenefitsThe salary associated with this position ($122,000-$253,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
