Job summary

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS and Linux, database patching (RDS, MySQL, Oracle), security best practices, and scripting. TS/SCI w Polygraph required Day 1.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS and Linux experience in production.
• Experience patching and maintaining databases (RDS, MySQL, Oracle).
• Knowledge of Federated Identity, RBAC, authentication & authorization.
• Understanding of secure-cloud configuration and cloud-security technologies.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet/Chef/Ansible.
• Experience with security tools (NGFW, WAF, SIEM).
• Able to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• Familiarity with enterprise virtualization (VMWare/Azure/Hyper-V).

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator/Cloud Engineer to enhance our existing technical team supporting the advancement of Digitization technologies in Warrenton, VA.The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, innovative, cloud engineer to join in and contribute to a team environment. The candidate will be part of a team that supports the cloud infrastructure for an enterprise environment. This position requires a broad knowledge of system administration, knowledge of automation technologies, and scripting. This position also requires a knowledge of security and accreditation practices and procedures the ability to work with several enterprise resources and teams in the operation of an enterprise digitization infrastructure.Mandatory Skills:Must have hands-on experience with AWS and Linux in a production environment.Experience patching and maintaining system's databases, to include RDS, MySQL, and OracleProven experience troubleshooting and solving technical problemsKnowledge of Federated Identity, RBAC, authentication & authorization solution, etc.Understanding of secure-cloud configuration, (e.g., CloudTrail, AWS Config), cloud-security technologies (e.g., VPC, Security Groups) andAccess Control (IAM).Experience with configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)Experience with security, such as NGFW, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security.Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environmentBachelor's Degree in IT related field or equivalency in related work experienceDemonstrated on-the-job experience working and solving technical problems independently as a system administrator.Experience using a scripting language.Demonstrated ability to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise workflow applications, to include: installing, starting, and stopping backgroundprocesses, analyzing log and event files, and patching and troubleshooting.Demonstrated ability creating and managing a virtual infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, Hyper-V, or VMWare.TS/SCI w Polygraph Required Day 1Salary & BenefitsThe salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
