Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Plano, TX to design and implement public cloud infrastructure using Terraform and IaC automation. You will develop landing zones, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services with IAM, networking, security as code, in a hybrid work setup.

Collaborate with security and DevOps teams to deliver enterprise-grade data platform solutions. Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of experience in enterprise cloud environments and strong Terraform, Ansible, Java, and Python

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in enterprise-scale cloud environments.
• 3–5 years of experience writing Terraform configurations and modules.
• Experience with infra-as-code, config-as-code, and policy-as-code.
• Knowledge of landing zones, cloud security, monitoring and logging, Well-Architected Framework.
• Strong ability to translate designs into fully developed Terraform code.

Cloud Engineer

Location: Plano, Texas (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months

Role Overview

This role involves writing public cloud infrastructure as code automation and designing public cloud landing zones to build core foundational platform services. The position requires developing cloud services provisioning automation and CI/CD pipelines. This position has a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of three days per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Write public cloud infrastructure as code automation using tools such as Terraform.
• Design and develop public cloud landing zones automation to build core cloud foundational platform services.
• Develop cloud services provisioning automation with integrated capabilities of IAM, network, security policies as code, and observability.
• Implement built-in resiliency, observability, and enable FinOps as a part of infrastructure automation to enable data PaaS services.
• Develop and maintain cloud services catalog for app developers and devops teams.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines to build the cloud data analytics platform.
• Collaborate with technical product management and operations to deliver the engineering roadmap in an Agile model.
• Partner with Information Security teams to engineer secure app patterns into Cloud platforms.
• Assist in translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment.
• Assist technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers by ensuring that technology solutions comply with enterprise standards.
• Promote an inclusive and healthy working environment.

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in enterprise-scale cloud environments, building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions.
• 3-5 years of experience writing Hashicorp Terraform configurations and modules.
• Experience in DevOps models with infra-as-code, config-as-code, and policy-as-code.
• Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected Framework principals.
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
• Proficiency in translating designs into fully developed Terraform code.
• Expertise in programming and infra-automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Java, and Python.

• Experience in Linux/UNIX system administration.
