Job summary

PC Recruiter seeks a Cloud Engineer to join our client’s team in the Des Moines metro area. The role offers a hybrid work setting with hours Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm and a starting salary up to $121,000 per year, based on experience.

Responsibilities include administering Microsoft cloud services, planning platform upgrades, backups, security controls, and integration with existing IT systems. Strong knowledge of EntraID, IaC, and scripting for automation is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of cloud engineering or related work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and major cloud providers (AWS/Azure).
• Understanding of EntraID and IaC solutions.
• Highly organized with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to make informed decisions and maintain a results-oriented mindset.

• Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft cloud services and other cloud-based solutions.
• Manage and plan project work related to platform upgrades, patches, and modifications to services as needed.
• Ensure system backups and recovery using cloud-based solutions.
• Implement and manage cloud security controls.
• Design integration of cloud applications and infrastructure services into existing IT systems.
• Participate in research and recommend new cloud technologies.
• Develop scripts for configuration management automation and process improvements.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve cloud-based system issues.
• Consult in the development of IT roadmaps around infrastructure and cloud services.
• Other duties as assigned.

You will earn a starting salary up to $121,000 per year, based on your experience. You will work Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm in a hybrid setting.

Some of your responsibilities as Cloud Engineer will include:

To qualify for this Cloud Manager position, you must have:
