Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines seeks a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions across the organization’s Microsoft cloud services and other providers. The role emphasizes security, automation, and disaster recovery, with opportunities to influence IT roadmaps and infrastructure decisions.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years in cloud engineering, hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP, and strong scripting abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
5-7 years’ experience in cloud engineering or a related role.
Experience with enterprise backup/restore solutions and web servers.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
Experience with Microsoft Azure and scripting/automation tools.
Knowledge of networking, databases, and storage in cloud environments.
Familiarity with Terraform and EntraID.

Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and maintain the Bank’s Microsoft cloud services and other cloud-based solutions.
Ensure system backups and recovery using cloud-based solutions.
Manage project work related to platform upgrades, patches, and modifications.
Design integration of cloud apps with existing IT systems.
Implement cloud security controls and IAM policies.
Develop scripts for configuration management and automation.
Respond to incidents and service requests; support existing applications.
