Job summary

First National Bank of Omaha seeks an Banking Automation Engineer Intern to support design, development, and testing of automation solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy within Risk, Operations, Finance, and Treasury. You will gain hands-on experience with Python and AWS, contributing to enterprise data workflows and maintainable automation in a regulated banking environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in CS/IS/Data Analytics or related field.
• Academic, personal, or project-based experience with Python or a similar language.
• Basic SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing, developing, and testing automation solutions using Python and workflow platforms.
• Support automation scripts for data processing, reporting, and operations.
• Translate requirements into small, maintainable automation components under team guidance.
• Gain exposure to deploying automation workflows on AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3).
• Work with structured data using SQL and cloud platforms such as Snowflake.
