Peregrine Advisors is hiring for a DevSecOps/Platform Engineer to own CI/CD pipelines, define infrastructure as code, and integrate automated security testing. You will work with AWS-native tools or alternatives, deploy Kubernetes, and ensure security controls are embedded from the start.

The role emphasizes Python scripting, Linux proficiency, and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate secure delivery in a federal-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in DevSecOps or platform engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with security gates using AWS-native tools (CodePipeline, CodeBuild) or alternatives (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Infrastructure as code with CloudFormation or Terraform, and Docker image creation and containerization.
• Experience deploying Kubernetes clusters and managing them.
• Automated security testing (SAST/DAST/SCA) and vulnerability scanning.
• Python scripting and programming; Bash is a plus.
• Proficient in Linux and shell scripting.
• Strong understanding of networks, routing, load balancing, APIs, and web app architectures.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) for code generation and validation.
• Version control with Git, plus monitoring and logging.
• Proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned CI/CD pipelines and the environments beneath them.
• Define infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Incorporate SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability scanning into the delivery path.
• Automate provisioning and releases with health checks and rollback; generate compliance evidence.
• Support Docker and Kubernetes workloads; troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and security faults.
• Implement NIST SP 800-53 controls and maintain continuous monitoring evidence.
• Automate work in Python, with Bash where fitting; leverage AI-assisted tools to speed delivery.
• Deliver pipelines that enforce controls and produce release evidence for reviews.
