Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, automate, and deliver secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure for NIH hosting and data services.

You will build standardized cloud services, contribute reusable automation, and work with customers and engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions. A strong Automation mindset and DevOps practices are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 4+ years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience engineering and supporting cloud/enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience independently implementing well-defined technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams, customers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions in AWS and Azure for hosting applications and data.
• Develop and enhance standardized, reusable cloud infrastructure services and automation using Terraform, Ansible, and related technologies.
• Configure and integrate cloud compute, storage, database, identity, networking, security, monitoring, backup, and related services.
• Develop and support automation and CI/CD capabilities that streamline infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, operating system, automation, application hosting, and cloud integration issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation procedures, and security/compliance artifacts.
• Participate in Agile activities, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement efforts.
