Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the NIH CIT Hosting and Storage Services Program. The role focuses on designing, automating, and delivering secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure with an automation-first mindset.

The ideal candidate has hands-on cloud and infrastructure experience, collaborates with senior engineers, and translates requirements into effective cloud solutions while upholding security, resiliency, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in IT-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of related IT experience.
• Experience engineering and supporting cloud or enterprise infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
• Develop and enhance reusable cloud services and automation.
• Configure cloud compute, storage, database, identity, networking, security, monitoring, backup and related services.
• Develop and support CI/CD capabilities for automated provisioning and deployments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, OS, automation, hosting, and cloud integration issues.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical docs, and security artifacts.
• Participate in Agile activities and code reviews to improve practices and delivery.
