Job summary

General Dynamics - IT seeks a highly experienced Cloud Engineer to support NCIS ITD in Quantico, VA. You will architect, deploy, and secure scalable cloud infrastructure, automate CI/CD pipelines, and lead DevSecOps practices across AWS/Azure with IaC tooling.

Strong collaboration with Cloud Architects and client-facing duties are expected. The role requires a TS/SCI readiness path, 10+ years in cloud engineering, and a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• US Citizenship required; ability to obtain TS/SCI post hire.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, secure, automate, and manage the day-to-day cloud infrastructure.
• Build full CI/CD pipeline from scratch deploying industry best practices and DevSecOps principles with tools like Jenkins and Terraform.
• Experience with provisioning infrastructure as code (IaC) using languages such as Python.
• Build and deploy docker containers with various software.
• Setup and configure IAM, storage accounts, storage access and security.
• Configure resource monitoring, alarms, and notifications.
• Utilize DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins) for CI/CD.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes.
• Develop IaC using Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible for multi-cloud deployment.
• Configure cloud networks, VNet, firewall, load balancers, VPN, DNS/Synchronization.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment issues.
• Review systems and propose improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Develop cloud solutions per customer guidance; work in Agile Scrum teams.
• Interact with clients to provide cloud support and recommendations.
• Support recovery, testing, and O&M activities; ensure performance and security requirements.
