Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS Aurora, RDS Oracle, or ElastiCache.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD, deployment, and configuration management tools in a DevOps environment.
• Experience meeting demands for high availability and scale.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, both written and orally, as well as the interpersonal skills required to collaborate effectively with colleagues across diverse technology teams.
• Ability to rapidly and effectively understand and translate requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define, communicate, and promote database engineering best practices for public cloud deployment across TxB.
• Automate provisioning of database, caching, and related tooling using Terraform.
• Design and develop central Terraform modules to standardize database patterns for applications.
• Collaborate with peers, vendors, and executives to influence technical direction.
• Engage across a fast-paced DevOps environment to build scalable solutions.
• Support complex production environments with reliable operation.
