Job summary

The Goldman Sachs Group is seeking a senior Cloud Platform architect to drive architecture strategy across multiple products, applications, and technologies globally. You will translate complex issues for leadership, guiding decisions about target state architecture and modern design practices.

You will establish governance, create reusable frameworks, and reduce tooling duplication while guiding AI-enabled workflows with strong security and resiliency standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant technical experience, including at least 5 years hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Expertise in one or more architecture disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience influencing across functions and teams to deliver modern architecture.
• Extensive practical cloud native experience.
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend solutions for future state.

Responsibilities

• Advise and lead architecture strategy of multiple products, applications, and technologies across a portfolio.
• Translate highly complex technical issues to leadership to drive innovation and enable strategic decisions about target state architecture.
• Drive adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with product development methodologies.
• Establish and lead an architecture governance body.
• Create durable, reusable software frameworks that improve velocity and quality of output across teams and functions.
• Partner across domains to reduce tooling duplication and maintain authoritative technology status.
• Improve decision traceability, cost-performance outcomes, and review-board effectiveness through standards and guardrails.
• Evaluate emerging capabilities for enterprise fit and adoption readiness.
• Establish portfolio-level guardrails for AI-assisted and agentic workflows in architecture governance.
